About Us
Central Cariboo Tourism is a destination marketing organization operating on behalf of the City of Williams Lake. Our goal is to market and promote tourism product in Williams Lake and the Central Cariboo.
The Central Cariboo is defined as Williams Lake north to McLeese Lake
(taking in Soda Creek), east to Big Lake, Likely, and Horsefly
(including the Cariboo Mountain range), south to 150 Mile House, and west to Riske Creek. Our partners at the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association and in the South Cariboo,
North Cariboo, West Chilcotin and Bella Coola Valley cover the
marketing programs for the rest of the region. A complete map of the Central Cariboo area can be found on the Travel Tools and maps page.
Central Cariboo tourism is a membership driven organization that develops products and programs to promote tourism product in the Central Cariboo. Some of the activities undertaken by Central Cariboo Tourism are attending shows, producing
print and cooperative advertisements, creating radio ads, and investing in an aggressive web marketing
campaign. New on the plate this year is the marketing plan for the new Tourism Discovery Centre which provides referrals, racking, and multimedia presentations. Details and benefits of the Central Cariboo Tourism membership plans can be found in this PDF
