There are an abundance of fantastic destinations in the area including Quesnel Lake, the deepest fjord lake in the world and home to many species of fish including 25 pound trophy rainbow trout, bull trout, kokanee, and lake trout in the 30 to 40 pound range, also, a prolific amount of Chinook and Sockeye salmon make their way through Quesnel Lake from Quesnel River and Fraser River en route to their spawning grounds. Horsefly Lake has substantial populations of rainbow trout, kokanee salmon and lake trout as well and Horsefly River boasts the second largest sockeye salmon run in British Columbia. World-class fly-fishing can be found at Quesnelle Forks where the Cariboo River runs from Cariboo Lake into Quesnel River and is jam-packed with rainbow trout and bull trout eager to snap at your flies.
